Wax Carving 

Wax carving is an ancient jewellery-making technique that allows for complete creative freedom. It involves sculpting your design in a special jeweller’s wax, which is then transformed into metal using the lost wax casting method. Your wax model is encased in plaster, melted away, and replaced with molten metal - creating a beautiful, one-of-a-kind piece that captures every detail of your carving. Or, if you prefer, I can cast your piece in my studio using the sandcasting method - perfect for an organic, natural feel, as it often results in added texture and unique surface details!

​This hands-on, relaxed workshop is perfect for anyone - no experience needed! Whether you're drawn to bold shapes, subtle textures, or just want to try something totally different, you’ll have the chance to design and carve your very own ring or pendant in wax.

Once you're happy with your design, I’ll take it back to the studio to handle the casting, finishing, and polishing. You’ll receive your creation transformed into a sterling silver (or gold vermeil) treasure, ready to wear and love.
