Jewellery made from cheap metals contributes to environmental degradation, can poses health risks, and lacks durability, leading to frequent disposal often leading to landfill. Honey Coast Studio's sterling silver jewellery is predominantly crafted from recycled quality materials. This includes the sterling silver often referred to as Eco sterling silver, this is created by collecting scrap silver, such as old jewellery and industrial by products, and refining it to remove impurities. This purified silver is then alloyed with other metals to produce high-quality recycled sterling silver (.925), reducing the need for newly mined silver and minimizing environmental impact. 

Another aspect of sustainable materials is Gemstones, this is something I would like to investigate further for another blog but it is worth mentioning here to! Sourcing gemstones sustainably and ethically is crucial to minimize environmental and social impact. Responsible practices consider fair labour conditions, and environmental stewardship.
